In all honesty, I think the gaming industry and DLC have made a turn to the worst this time. I mean sure, it is all find and dandy on how we can purchase additional characters and what not, but what happened to games just coming out and being complete? You buy the game and enjoy it... and that's it... what happened to those good old days?
I mean yeah, this has spirred a bit from the whole "Mass Effect 3" DLC issue that has been getting under people's skin... but I mean just DLC in general is getting ridiculous. I mean, when I hear the term DLC... I think of something in addition to make the game more enjoyable considerable months after I've played the game for a minimal price. However, coming to terms now with what has been happening recently with, upon release DLC. Extra areas unlocked to beat the game in a downloadable bundle that you have to pay EXTRA for.
What is the gaming industry coming to? If you are going to release other characters, why not make them accessible after beating if you're going to release them in addition as the day the game comes out? It could have been shipped with the game? Does someone really want to pay an additional $10 for a character on a game they just shelled out over $60 for? I mean seriously now.... come on.
I really do hope that they get the hint that this.... rail road robbery... doesn't fly at all.
It's stupid and hurts their loyal customers.
That or... well opening prices are going to plummet... because honestly... who buys games when they just come out anyway?
